However, looking at her history, it becomes clear that Russia is a unique European Country with an Asian physiognomy. Russia is an Eurasian country only on the map. She is not a real Eurasian country owing to her underdeveloped Siberia and Far Eastern Region. Westerner’s economic sanctions on Russia forced her to lean more on China. Now, Russia’s leaning on China has turned into her dependence on China. Eurasianism that believes in Eurasian identity is a utopian idea, not the right way to revive Russia. If Moscow hopes to promote the development of Siberia and Far Eastern Region, the Kremlin must transform its authoritarian regime into a democratic and more efficient one.
